THE RAINDANCE FIELD GUIDE
Is Raindance an AI song? Music and audio for your video
Distinguish the Dave and Tems recording from AI-made clips, then prepare your own video’s sound.
“Raindance” is a song by Dave featuring Tems. The label's official music-video announcement identifies the artists and the released video. A video made with an AI generator is a separate piece of media; calling it a “Raindance AI video” does not mean the song itself was generated by this website.
In a Reddit discussion, a listener asks whether a song in a video is AI generated, while replies identify Raindance by Dave and Tems. The confusion is understandable: the same song can accompany both a filmed performance and a generated clip. Check the recording credits separately from the visuals.
The picture and soundtrack are separate checks
Our generator makes a short visual performance from your portrait or portraits. It follows a fixed golden-hour pier reference, with a 10-second Solo or an 8-second Duet, 768p and 9:16 MP4. It does not provide a custom-song upload field, an artist-voice cloning control or a promise to reproduce exact lyrics.
Listen to the finished file before sharing it. Do not assume its sound is the original recording, or that generated mouth movement will match a particular verse. The input's visual reference, the resulting audio and the song selected in your posting app are three different things to inspect.
If a recognizable licensed song is essential to your post, plan to add permitted audio in your editor or destination app after downloading. Availability and permitted use depend on the platform, account type, region and the specific track. A generator purchase is not a blanket music licence.
A practical editing sequence
Download the completed MP4 and keep that original copy. Open a new project in your editor, import the file and listen to it. Mute or reduce the original clip's sound if you intend to replace it, so two soundtracks do not play over each other.
Add your permitted track through the editor or platform's audio library. Select a segment that fits the clip's actual length. Preview the first and last second: an abrupt cut can be more noticeable than an imperfect mouth movement. Export once you are satisfied, then listen to the exported file rather than relying only on the editing timeline.
For a Duet, check that both performers remain visible and that your chosen crop does not cut off the second person. The generated source is already vertical. Repeated cropping or enlarging cannot create additional source detail, and stretching it to fill another ratio can distort faces.
Add the Raindance sound when posting on TikTok
Use TikTok's own sound picker rather than assuming the downloaded file contains the released recording. Sound availability can differ by region and account type; a search result does not grant permission outside the platform. The button positions may vary with the app version.
- Download your generated MP4 from My clips.
- Open TikTok, tap the create button and upload that MP4.
- Open the sound picker and search for Raindance Dave Tems. Check the artist and recording before selecting an available track.
- Choose a segment that fits your 10-second Solo or 8-second Duet.
- Open the volume controls. Turn down the original clip's audio so it does not compete with the added sound.
- Move the selected audio segment and preview the timing. This can improve the beat alignment, but cannot make generated mouth movements exact.
- Review the crop, the sound and the first and last frames.
- Before posting a realistic generated performance, open More options and enable TikTok's AI-generated content label where available. Follow the platform's current rules.
If the intended sound is unavailable for your account, choose another permitted track or keep the video without it. Do not download somebody else's music recording as a workaround. For Reels, use the same download-and-add-audio approach with Instagram's available music library.
What to do when timing does not match
Small adjustments to where the song begins may make the performance feel better. They do not create exact lip-sync. If the source movement is wrong for your chosen words, moving the audio cannot turn it into another performance. Decide whether the clip works as a music-video mood, or whether your task needs a dedicated audio-driven lip-sync workflow.
Do not purchase another take based on an assumption that the next one will sing an exact lyric. A new generation can vary and uses another allowance. See pricing and recovery for the distinction between technical failure and a completed creative result.
Before posting a realistic AI clip
Describe the result honestly and use the platform's applicable AI label. TikTok's AI-generated content help explains its current labeling controls. Check that page in the posting app if its interface has changed.
This site is an independent generator and is not affiliated with Dave, Tems, their labels or TikTok. Examples demonstrate a type of generated output, not endorsement by the performers in the original recording.
